What to Have Ready When You Call

A good quote starts with a few details. Before you call or fill out the form, it helps to know your moving date or the range of dates you are considering, the full addresses of both homes, and the size of each home. Then think about access: how many flights of stairs are at each address, whether there is an elevator and whether it needs to be reserved, how close a 26-foot truck can park to each door, and whether there is a gate code, a leasing office check-in or HOA rules about moving trucks.

Next, list the items that take extra planning. That includes pianos, gun safes, pool tables, large artwork, mirrors, antiques, treadmills and other gym equipment, and very large sectionals or armoires. Let us know whether you want us to pack the whole house, only the kitchen and fragile items, or nothing at all. If any part of the move involves storage or a second pickup or drop-off address, mention that too. With this information we can give you a price that matches your actual move.

How Our Pricing Works

For local moves we charge $250 per hour for two movers and a truck, and $350 per hour for three movers and a truck, with full service included. On local moves there is no separate charge for travel time, fuel, the first flight of stairs or elevator buildings. Many customers prefer a flat rate, which we quote after a short walkthrough of the home in person or over a video call. Long-distance moves are always quoted as a flat rate, door to door. Whichever option you choose, the exact price is confirmed with you on the phone before anything is booked.

Where We Move

Our crews work across Nashville and Middle Tennessee every day. In Davidson County that includes neighborhoods such as Green Hills, Belle Meade, Sylvan Park, The Nations, West End, Midtown, Germantown, The Gulch, Bellevue, Antioch and Hermitage. South of the city we move families in Brentwood, Franklin, Nolensville, Thompson's Station, Spring Hill and Columbia. To the southeast we cover La Vergne, Smyrna and Murfreesboro, and to the east Mt. Juliet, Lebanon and Watertown. North and northeast we serve Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, Gallatin, Portland, Greenbrier and Springfield, and to the west we serve Kingston Springs and Dickson. We also run long-distance moves from Middle Tennessee to other states.

What Happens on Moving Day

On moving day, the crew lead calls when the truck is on the way. When the crew arrives, the lead walks through the home with you, confirms what is going and what is staying, and points out anything fragile or valuable. The crew then protects the home with floor runners, door jamb pads and banister covers before the first piece of furniture moves. Furniture is wrapped in moving blankets and stretch wrap, mattresses are bagged, and beds and tables are taken apart with the hardware bagged and labeled.

At the new home, the crew places each piece in the room you choose, reassembles beds and tables, and removes the floor protection when the work is done. Before the truck leaves, the crew lead walks through both homes with you to make sure nothing was missed. If you have any questions about the time or the invoice, ask the crew lead before they go.

Emergency and After-Hours Moves

We answer the phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, because moves do not always happen on a schedule. If a closing moves up, a lease ends suddenly, a buyer needs the house early or something happens at home that forces a quick move, call us. When a crew and truck are available, we can handle evening, overnight and same-day moves. We will tell you honestly how fast we can get there, and if we cannot meet your timeline, we will say so.

Visiting Our Office

Most customers never need to visit the office, because quotes, scheduling and questions can all be handled by phone, text or video call. If you would like to stop by, please call first, since our team is often out on moves during the day. If you are dropping off paperwork or meeting us to look at moving supplies, a quick call makes sure someone is there to help you.

How fast will I hear back? Calls are answered around the clock. Form requests are answered as quickly as possible, and calling is always the fastest way to get a price.

Can I get a quote without an in-home visit? Yes. A short video call is usually enough for us to see the furniture, the stairs and the access at your home.

Can someone else book the move for me? Yes. Family members often book moves for parents or relatives, including from out of state. We will keep both of you updated.

Do I need to be home during the move? Someone you trust should be there at the start and the end to confirm what goes and to do the final walk-through.

Calling From Out of State

Many of our calls come from people who are not in Tennessee yet. Some are relocating to Nashville for a new job, some are adult children arranging a move for a parent who lives here, and some are calling from Canada or another state for a relative. You do not need to be in town to book. We can do the walkthrough by video call with whoever is at the home, send the details by text or email, and keep everyone updated on the day of the move. If your belongings are arriving in a rental truck or portable container, we can also unload it for you at the new home in Middle Tennessee.

Office and Business Moves

If you are moving an office, a medical or professional suite, or a retail shop, call and ask for a business move walkthrough. We will look at the furniture, files and equipment, the elevators and loading areas at both buildings, and the hours your business needs to stay open. Most office moves are done in the evening or on a weekend so your team can be back at work the next morning. Shared buildings often require a certificate of insurance and a reserved elevator or loading dock time, and we help arrange both in advance.

Storage Between Homes

If your closing dates do not line up, or your new home is not ready yet, ask us about storage when you call. We can load your home, keep your belongings in storage and deliver them when you are ready. Your inventory list stays with the job from the first load to the final delivery, so you can check that everything arrived. Tell us how long you expect to need storage and whether you will want access to anything in the meantime, and we will explain the options for your dates.

Before You Call: A Quick Checklist

Write down your moving date or range of dates, both addresses, the number of bedrooms, stairs and elevators at each home, where the truck can park, any heavy or fragile items, whether you need packing, and whether storage is part of the plan. Have that list in front of you when you call or fill out the form, and the quote takes only a few minutes.

Moving Seasons and How Far Ahead to Call

The busiest times for moves in Nashville are late spring through the end of summer, the last few days of every month and most Fridays and weekends. If your move falls in one of those windows, call as soon as you know your date, even if some details are still uncertain, so we can hold a crew and truck. Midweek dates in the middle of the month are the easiest to schedule. During the school year, many families move over long weekends or school breaks, and those dates fill early too. For short-notice moves, call anyway: because we work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, there is often a crew that can help sooner than you expect.

When you reach out, tell us whether your date is fixed, such as a closing or lease end, or flexible. A flexible date gives us more options and sometimes a smoother schedule for your crew.

Questions About an Existing Booking

If you already have a move scheduled and need to change something, call us as early as you can. Common changes include a new date or time, an added address, extra furniture, a storage stop, or a change in who will meet the crew. We will update your booking, explain whether the change affects the price, and confirm everything with you before moving day. On the day of the move, the crew lead will call when the truck is on the way, and you can reach the office at any hour if something comes up.

If you are moving into or out of an apartment or condo building, please send us the building rules, any elevator reservation and the certificate of insurance requirements as soon as you have them. Getting these early is the easiest way to avoid delays at the building on moving day.
